Hi Anna Thanks for responding! I wrote a children's book and working on a follow up of sorts. I know exactly what you mean about promotion being harder than writing. It's been awhile since pub date so I feel the energy has stalled leaving me questioning my next move, the answer is most likely finish the next book? But then comes the promotion part again... You make a great point though asking is the first step!
Anna Blake Suzi, I am stumped for children's books. I don't have kids and so I have even less experience than most, but it's a strong genre and I wouldn't be surprised to find out there were writer's groups focused on your question. You might consider googling book award competitions that you might enter, too. Good luck, and please, keep me posted.

Hi Anna I really enjoy following your blog and wanted to reach out to you as a fellow author. Do you do all your public relations, booking etc? Can you recommend a good resource to help me in promotion and making contacts for book tours? This is the area I need the most support in to get my introverted self out there to promote my book. Thanks for any insight!
Anna Blake Hi Suzi. You flatter me with the term "public relations", thank you. I do it all myself and it's much harder than writing, if you ask me. I get a little better all the time, but it's a challenge. I think my blog readers have been really kind and without them, this would be so much harder... so I give them the credit. So I don't have any pro resources really, but I will say that when I pull the courage together to ask for something, people are always so willing. So my advice is pretend you are braver than you are... What have you tried?? What do you write? I'd be happy to chat about ideas.
