Hi there,
I am most grateful for you contacting me.
There are four further books that I have outlined, consisting of two prequels and two sequels.
I have been somewhat distracted or rather dumbfounded by world events and several personal situations, and I apologise for this as it has distracted me from writing which I love.
I will place two of the books on pre-order over the next couple of days and hopefully get off my proverbial and start writing again.
Once again, thank you for contacting me, this has jolted me out of what seemed to be a tunnelled apathy.
Best Regards and Wishes

This summer will be a busy time for writing. I have altered my focus to complete a number of books by November/December 2017. These will include sequels for The Highlander and Fantasy initial books and two more Jin-Lee books. Further to this there are three WW2 books outlined and another Sci-Fi to continue the stories. A busy time indeed, but very engaging and exciting as I am spending most of my waking moments considering the storylines.

My favourite fictional couple are not actually a couple, but the two characters in the Bloodied London Series, Robert and Jin-Lee. It is very easy to write their characters and interaction as I feel I know them so well...especially the taunting and goading of each other.

Hi Alan
Many thanks for your question and encouragement. There are plans for several more books, the first of which, Bloody Kharkov, should be in the first half of this year and will go on pre-release in the next few weeks. Two or three further books are planned for later 2016 to cover 1943 with an overall series spanning the war now outlined, including the events leading to Stalingrad.
Thank you for your kind comments, I really like writing about the characters and a time that has always been of extreme interest to me personally.
Best Wishes

One of my work colleagues wanted me to write a Science Fiction book, which I originally resisted as the characters I had chosen for the next book were already formulated. Imagination is a strong motivator though and within a week, they had moved from the original story to within the sleek shining walls of Alexion One in my head. I could almost smell the acrid and dust laden smoke on the planet's surface and could not resist writing it. Once completed, my imagination ran riot as to the progression of the story, how the characters would cope...or not. I resisted the urge to write the next story for six months so that I would be sure of events and which book they occured in...now I have the next five formulated...I just hope people enjoy them. That's my motivation...you don't charge a low price to become rich!

I think this is a difficult question as people draw their own conclusions. I simply enjoy it and usually write something every day. Others may do something different, we are all motivated in different ways and no way is right or wrong. I do like moving a plot around in my mind for days or choosing a character to walk round the park with, considering their development, next moves, what they are like, etc. I find that easy to progress from as I get to like them...I also am usually urged to expand the story and feel irritated if the plot is not fully formulated in my head.

I am currently working on developing the Sci-Fi series and upgrading the story further. I then have the return to WW2 and Fantasy to consider before progressing other stories.

To me there are 'crunch' points in each story. Parts that you will reach a ravine in, eg. How does the character or situation evolve to where I want it to be next. They can be simple from a conversation to movement or even a battle scene. When you get stuck, go for a walk (dogs help), and look at the scene from every angle, maybe even look at an addition to the story that would create the link.

I find the challenge of turning the plot and still creating realism very rewarding. After all, challenges overcome are how we improve. My motivation comes from how the human spirit can adapt and transform to challenge...but it has to be realistic or historically accurate.

I find the best way to deal with struggling to write is to attempt to enhance one of your recent chapters, it usually turns your mood and focussess your mind back to the characters.
