I've heard many people say throughout my life "Oh, that was your guardian angel looking out for you." So, I was thinking about guardian angels one day. What if they were humans just like you and me? Could they still protect you from harm? That's how the idea of Jack came to me. The idea of Mia shortly followed, and their story just materialized from that.

I'm inspired by many things. I'm inspired by my family and friends, and their love and support. I'm inspired by my readers, and hearing that they enjoy my work because I enjoy making them happy. I'm inspired by various life experiences, whether they are mine or someone else's.

I'm currently working on book two in The Keeper Series. It's called "Keeping Krissi" and I anticipate it's release in late October 2015.
I have my ideas for the third and final book, but they haven't been put on paper yet.

Writer's block can be frustrating. I find that the best thing to do is to step away from your work. Give it a break. After your break just sit and think about how you want it to end. Think about how you want the story to go. Then, think about what your character needs to do next to get to that point. When you go back to your work, you often go back with good ideas you didn't have before your break.

The best thing about being an author is being able to put your imagination on paper and give it a face.

Just do it! I started writing as just a hobby, not really expecting it to go anywhere. Part way through my first book I realized that I was on to something. I wanted to share it with others. It's scary sharing your work with people for the first time, so I started with the people I trusted the most. My sisters were the first ones to read my book. It's important to have the first person to read it be someone you trust and who isn't afraid to tell you the truth about it.
