Diane B. Saxton I don't usually have writer's block. Sometimes though, I don't feel like writing because of life, of family, of problems, of travel, of interruptions in daily routines. I need to be calm to write. The best time for me to write is at night — no phone, no questions, no interruptions. A time to imagine.
Diane B. Saxton I love to write. I love to discover answers (I don't outline, that would ruin the fun). Writing to me is also like meditating. But mostly, it astounds me: the process, the final story, what I'm capable of.
Diane B. Saxton Never give up, keep going, believe in yourself—and find your inspiration everywhere, even in the most mundane material. You'll be surprised at what you come up with!
Diane B. Saxton A very involved multigenerational historical novel.
Diane B. Saxton Inspired, Inspiration - aren't those great words? I love to read; I love to imagine. I'm inspired by so many things it's impossible to put them all down, which in a way saddens me. So the stories I'm able to put to paper and the computer, for me, is a treat.
Diane B. Saxton I kept coming back to a painting I love and the idea grew out of that. Out of imagining what the painter/artist had in mind when he painted it.
