I don't have writer's block, I have time blocks. Finding the time to write is difficult for me in my busy family and work life outside of writing. But I can say that some of my best ideas come from simply driving around by myself and letting my brain just run wild. The stimulation of life triggers ideas or thoughts about plot lines or character traits. My recent visit to the Spy Museum in Washington D.C. put my brain in overdrive and that night when I went to bed it began to process. The next morning when I woke, I had a complete outline for a new novel just sitting there floating in my head. I was able to write the treatment in about an hour and a half. Now I just have to find the time to finish the projects I'm on, so I can get after it. Care to guess what the subject matter might be in this book?
