Danny Knestaut Hi, Robin,

Actually, we did. But it was such a terrible book that we had to put it aside. We keep going back and forth about whether or not to write another version, but what's holding us back is a good idea. So, if we can figure out a way to make it work, we'll do it.
Danny Knestaut Hey Jim!

Thanks for checking in. We had hoped to be done by May 22 but due to the coronavirus pandemic we are running behind. I am a nurse and have been working lots of extra shifts and it has taken time away from our writing schedule. We are doing our best to get Book 7 out as quickly as possible, hopefully before August. Thanks again for asking and for your patience and support!

Danny Knestaut Hi Jim! Thanks for your question. Currently, we are healthy and on track to release Adalina, the final installment in The Dragoneer series, by May 22nd. However, if the COVID-19 has other plans for us, the release date may be postponed. I am a healthcare worker and odds are I will either get sick and/or need to pick up extra shifts. If that happens it will definitely slow us down. But for now, we are staying at home (except for work) and writing as fast as we can.

Thank you for your interest in our books. And thank you for staying home, too!

Danny Knestaut I haven't had to deal with writer's block for years; not since I set down the personal rule that no one ever gets to read the rough drafts, ever.
Danny Knestaut I get inspired to write by reading. Coffee helps, too. And so do bill collectors.
Danny Knestaut The idea for Arachnodactyl came while I was trying to figure out how to coax a minor character in another novel to behave in a certain way. I needed him to be a thorn in the side of both the heroine and the villain. I needed a character who would refuse to take a side even as tension ratcheted up around him. So I started to think about what kind of life events would give a character this perspective. What would a person have to go through in life to feel that he can't fully trust anyone, that he was ultimately on his own, but yet would feel compelled by either guilt or conscience to get involved in the strife around him? I started to write a short biography of such a fictional person. The biography kept growing until I had the outline for Arachnodactyl.
