Two ways. For fiction, I set a timer for 20 minutes and I force myself to write without editing, without researching, without stopping for a break. I reward myself at the end by seeing how many words I wrote and going on social media--unless I'm feeling like I'm on a roll, and then I set another timer and keep going.
For shorter pieces, like blog posts, I often have to write a few bad drafts before I figure out what it is that I'm trying to say. Sometimes it will be one sentence or one idea from the first draft that I can use to start over.
