I would visit Narnia and seek out Aslan and ask him to heal all of my deepest hurts.

What would have happened if our family had moved to Ireland in 2004, rather than backing out at the last minute?

I sincerely believe the inspiration was from God, as I had never had any interest in Saul or David prior to starting. I quickly realized that I knew a lot more about myself and my struggles than I did theirs, so it was easy to shift focus. God knew what He was doing because I never would have tried if the inspiration had been "write a book about yourself."

I was writing in my journal in early 2009 and God inspired me to consider writing about the contrasting leadership styles of Kings Saul and David from the Old Testament. In time, as I began including stories from my own leadership journey, the book became more about me and my relationship with God and my exploration of how to incorporate my faith life into my work life. God has done amazing things for me, and so I'm trying to do something amazing for Him.

I can honestly say I've never suffered from writer's block. My biggest struggle has been laziness and finding the motivation to sit down and write.
