I wrote a poem based on Jane Eyre when I was in graduate school. It earned a positive response during workshop. Eventually, I wrote another Jane Eyre-related poem for workshop as well. And so it goes. . . the birth of an obsession. I drew upon film adaptations, fan fiction, biographies, published letters, etc. First, I published a chapbook titled "Jane-in-the-Box." I then expanded Jane-in-the-Box into a complete poetry collection, "The Jane and Bertha in Me."

I have been writing articles. I am very excited about the upcoming bicentennial of CB's birth. A website called Cultured Vultures will be publishing one of my articles in April. An article I wrote called "Jane Eyre's BFF" was published in February. Check out the link on my blog if you'd like to read it.
