Philipp Schott Simply by walking. "Solivitur ambulando", as the ancients said. "It is solved by walking". This is like magic for me.
Philipp Schott I just finished the first draft for Eleven Huskies, the third installment in the Dr. Bannerman Vet Mystery series. I am also working on a popular history of veterinary medicine, and on, oh, about a half dozen other projects...
Philipp Schott The Willow Wren is a memory of memories. While I was growing up, my father told many stories of his childhood during the war years. He always wanted to write a memoir, but died much too soon. On the 25th anniversary of his death, I decided to write his memoir for him. Relying on what I remembered of his stories, memories from other family members including his siblings (all but one still living), and the historical record, I was able to construct a rough outline of what happened, but I realized that I had to fill in all the conversations and minor details from my own imagination, so this memoir gradually transformed into a novel.
