Madeline C.C. Harper I shall let Dory answer this one...

“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.”
Madeline C.C. Harper Not to sound TOO corney, but for me personally, it’s the ability to express myself. I’ve always been an incredibly shy person (I’m pretty sure I went through 2nd-5th grade without uttering a peep to my classmates...) so writing was always a way for me to take what I was thinking a put it on paper. When you write, you don’t have to worry about stuttering or mumbling or not talking loud enough.
Madeline C.C. Harper The Forge of Kingdoms (The Primloc Chronicles, Book #2)
Madeline C.C. Harper Honestly, I’m convinced my brain doesn’t have an off switch, so even when I’m not trying to think of new stories and/or story lines of an existing story of mine, my brain has the annoying tendency to push them to the forefront of my mind until I’m unable to ignore them.

Let’s just say, this has led to some strange dreams.
Madeline C.C. Harper The Return of Light (The Primloc Chronicles) was actually greatly inspired by Christendom during the Renaissance. Since I was a child attending Sunday school, I’ve always been curious of the dynamic of king and pope, multiple kingdoms under one faith. I even include my full explanation in the Author’s Note found in the back of the book.

Of course, then I added a pair of overprotective faeries, a dim-ogre, magic men who can control fire, and a rag-tag band of rebels to the mix...
