The original idea for Fake to Fate was not the book I ended up with.
Originally, Stephanie worked as a telemarketer. Roland's phone number was on her list and he gave her a hard time. But Roland was just a college student like Stephanie and they met IRL when she recognized his voice standing in line at a coffee shop. Probably would have ended up being an enemies to lovers.

Music helps a lot! But mostly, I just sit down and start writing. Something comes out eventually. And if it's just not happening at that moment, I come back to it later. I do try to get some writing done everyday. No matter how few.

If you've read Fake to Fate, you'll have met Katie and Muscles. I'm working on their story.

Keep writing.
You're going to get stuck. You're going to hate what you write sometimes but the only way to finish writing something or love what you've written is to never give up.

I get the same joy from writing as I do from reading. It's a way to escape and relax. While I'm living my character's lives, I don't have to worry about my own responsibilities. LOL

Write something else.
If a novel is giving me trouble, I start drafting another one. After awhile, I'll be driving or drifting off to sleep or something and the story I was blocked on will come into my head with a way to "fix" it.
