How do you deal with writer’s block?
ShuPri Draw! Just draw nonsense, write nonsense and loosen up. Be gung-ho when you are feeling out of it and just get on with it.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
ShuPri Serendipity. Astonishing things happen when you just show up and begin without a clue where you are headed.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
ShuPri There's gold in making mistakes! If you live with them for a while, you'll see they are telling you something...so keep listening and don't trash your stuff.

ShuPri More AbsurdDitties and longer fun poems and doodles for another book...

How do you get inspired to write?
ShuPri Read a ton of funny stuff to get in the mood and looked at artists I admire.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
ShuPri Inspired by Ogden Nash and artist friends who write/draw in a humorous vein. Nobody was quite doing fun poetry, it's all too serious, so I took a shot at it!
