My twin brother and co-author, Greg, approached me what is now several years ago with an idea to work collaboratively on a "project" to impact educators. He, too, is an educator. While we didn't know what the "project" would be, much less that it would end up being writing a book about helping educators get back to their CORE (Calling Or Reason in Education), here we are!

I believe in the incredible power that educators have to positively impact students. Throughout my over 20 years in various roles in education, that belief has grown stronger each year. I'm proud to be a first grade teacher, and am even more proud of all of my fellow educators across the nation, regardless of role, who work tirelessly for kids every day. They are the ones who inspired me to co-author this book with my twin brother Greg.
