Fowl Murder is based in a small Kenyan town called Nanyuki, in the shadow of Mount Kenya. I lived in the town for over 6 years and the places and characters in my book are sparked from my experiences and the people I met.

I have received Tusk Justice, the second book in the Kenya Kanga mystery series, back from my editor. I need to go through and complete the rewrites although I am busy ensuring Fowl Murder is ready for launch.

Read more, or go on a walk or run and listen to an audiobook - short stories or episodes of a radio series are excellent as they provide ideas in bite size chunks. When my brain is full I watch cozy style murder mystery series such as Father Brown, Death in Paradise or old Poirot episodes.

I'm having an Anthony Horowitz binge at the moment. I watched the new Alex Rider series with my sons and am catching up with Foyles War. I have just finished 'The Word is Murder' and I am now reading the sequel, 'The Sentence is Death'.
