I grew up in a house with ten people so the laundry pile was never ending. My mom was the first I had heard use the term Mount Neverrest. Between my experiences from childhood and now as a mother of two, the concept was mostly hanging in the back of my mind. The actual story started from a Facebook prompt. Just the idea of writing a children’s story was all it took to get the words flowing. Though the inspiration has been deep in the recesses of my brain for a long while, the story itself happens almost entirely by accident.

I’m looking forward to finishing the Space Trilogy by C. S. Lewis, the Shadow series by Orson Scott Card, and the New Testament over the summer.
