The mystery of the fake-flowers...
Don't think for a moment that this won't show up in a novel someday!
I should preface by saying I live in the country, with fencing around my entire property, a gate, and guardian dogs. There is no 'showing up' at my house without me knowing.
Cue, random fake flower petals.
Every morning I walk with my dog, Beacon (literally the bestest boy in the whole wide world - don't tell my editor I said bestest....) around my driveway and property. It's great bonding time that we both really enjoy. Part of this walk is completing morning chores. Getting food and water for the ducks, chickens, and turkeys (I have a thing for fowl). On one particular morning - I wish I could remember the month, but it was certainly one where flowers in general would not be expected, let alone these weird fake flowers - I finish feeding/watering the birds, and head with Beacon around the driveway. On the front part of my driveway, it's a big loop, I start to see specks of bright colors. At first, I thought that maybe I'd had a package delivered and that Beacon had gotten into it, but I didn't expect anything AND didn't have a need for any party decorations.... Yet, along the entire north side of my driveway, there were multi-colored fake petals. To this day, I have no idea where they came from and my mind being the dark and twisty place that it is, couldn't help but devise this stalker-esque conspiracy about the fake flowers!
