There aren't a lot of authors whom I regularly google in the hope of a new novel, but you are one of them. Are you working on a book at the moment?
Lakisha Spletzer I'm so sorry I didn't see this until just now. I'm not on Goodreads as much because I'm so busy.

But to answer your question, I am currently working on book 5 of the Werelove series as well as two fantasy romance stories.

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Lakisha Spletzer How I'm able to work 3 jobs, go to college, raise my kids and still have time to write.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Lakisha Spletzer I would love to live in Anne McCaffrey's Pern universe

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Lakisha Spletzer I have many fictional couples that I love so picking a favorite is hard. I'm going to cheat a little *winks*. The following couples are ones that have inspired my own writing:

Romeo/Juliet
Beauty/the Beast
Jaxom/Ruth (Dragonriders of Pern)
Minato/his Sekirei (manga: Sekirei by Sakurako Gokurakuin)

What are you currently working on?
Lakisha Spletzer I have 3 novels that I plan to work on/finish in 2015: the 4th Werelove novel, the 3rd Elemental Symphony novel, and the 2nd Jewels novel

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Lakisha Spletzer I don't have a set way to deal with it. Sometimes starting on something else works. Sometimes take a step back and not writing at all until my head clears works, too.

Lakisha Spletzer Meeting fellow readers and writers.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Lakisha Spletzer Practice, practice, practice writing. Do not be afraid to let a rough draft be a rough draft. If you spend all your time going back over the same chapter 100 times to try and get it "PERFECT," you will never get anything written.

How do you get inspired to write?
Lakisha Spletzer I take inspiration from everything: people, animals, nature, situations, experiences and more. Anything can get my creative juices flowing.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Lakisha Spletzer I'm currently working on a sequel to my 2010 debut novel, "Jewels." It's bringing me back to my science fiction/space opera beginnings.
