Writer's block is truly evil and as S.K. once said - you just write something everyday - even if a few lines. The mind is a difficult mistress to tame and at times she will remain silent and be as maddening as a lover who will not speak for days. Eventually, it will begin to stir, sometimes in dreams, sometimes with a loss or great victory (more times with a loss) and you will be writing as fast as you can type for hours.

The best thing about being a writer is knowing that perhaps after you have left this world something besides just family will continue. Those are likely to forget you in less than a hundred years. Yet a writer, can truly be immortal - for some - thousands of years later - they are not forgotten. All the bad things - all the flaws - are softened by what they write - and eventually for some - who even rewrite it and retell it - some become legend.

Do not ask your friends or family to evaluate your writing, or even those you love or love you. Seek out people who really don't like you and are ready to tear up anything you say or write - and they will give you the most honest answers. If someone says to you "I can't stand you- I hate you - but you are a damned good writer and that makes no sense" then you have made it.

Inspiration is not something that just happens. Sometime may be from falling in love, a political climate which is unbearable, or in the midst of devastation and loss. It rarely comes in moment of happiness or contentment. Most often, in the depth of depression and soul-searching - on the very edge of consciousness we began to feel and experience that there is more - and try to write about it. My great greatest inspiration was Stephen King who sent me a card that read "Looking forward to seeing your name in print." S.K. And then 2 years later - I was published.

As I had posted - I am working on World of Twine - The Awakening. Should be out in early 2018.

My most recent book - World of Twine - The Awakening - which is coming out in 2018 was inspired by watching The Company of Wolves and also a documentary on the Palace of Versailles and Louis XIV. It It if the first of the Twine Trilogy.
