I don't know yet. I read them as I stumble over them or find them in one of my to read piles. Currently, reading Aaron Elkins Switcheroo. Almost done.
Next? I'm thinking I want to binge on an old favorite. Last time I did this was rereading Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson books in order. Am thinking of rereading the Midnight Crossings books of Charlaine Harris before the TV production, but don't know if that's a good idea.
Decisions. Decisions.

Think plots are too complicated a concept for the unanswered questions in my life.
But, character development is another question. I've always been curious about why people act the way the do, even before I started writing.

Can't find the status updates so I'm trying this if anyone ever sees this.
Two new things.
1) My shorter short stories are now free. Check Amazon and B&N...and Smashwords, etc.
2) I'm into the edit stage of two novels: There Be Demons and On The Run.

I am in the endless process of doing the paper edits for my story: Crossings, the prequel to There Be Demons which should be published sometime in late Fall 2014. Illness of my publisher delayed publication.
Blurb? -- Ebe has lived in the shadow of a secretive group of magic workers, but they aren't the problem. Frogtrolls move into the valley below him to train their fighting dogs, and his comfortable life is torn apart. Ebe finds he is fighting for his life.
Most of the story is ready for beta reading, but I'm still dinking with the ending. Hope to get it out sometime during the weekend.

My advice is to learn your craft.
First you have to have interesting ideas. Then you have to know English [or whatever language's grammar] grammar. Then you have to learn the skills to put together a good story.
Than after getting you characters, plots, settings etc flowing ... You need a copy editor to clean up your manuscript. This is especially true when you're an indie writer, because you don't have a publishing house employee to do the copy edits for you.
