I am now writing the sixth mystery of the series which will be my last one. Grazie molto to you for having liked Murder in Pitigliano.

Hi Rosemary. Many of those dishes are already in Italian cookbooks. I may have a few original ones but it would require a labor of love to test everyone and write it up. I prefer staying with Nico and his friends. It’s more fun.
Book 4, The Road to Murder, is coming out 3/24 and I’m now working on Book 5.
Thank you for asking.

The mystery would be what exactly happened to my mother and father during WWII. I know, some facts, but not all and so I wrote a novel , Seeking Alice, based on my family during that time

Seeking Alice is based on some facts in my family's life in Prague and Italy during WWII. The idea to write about that period came when a therapist I was seeing thirty years ago said how difficult it must have been for my American mother to be in Europe and married to an Italian during the war. Jonah intrigued me as I had never stopped to think of my mother as an individual. I did not grow up with my mother as she was mentally ill and therefore did not know her. By writing this book I created a mother I could love and at the same finally understand what my mother had gone through. The skeleton of the story is based on fact, the flesh is pure fiction. It took many years of research and interviews with people who had lived through that period. I wanted to make it as real as possible. Whenever I got stuck I would write a mystery to keep the writing going. Long answer to a short question. I hope that's okay.
