I spent my entire life feeling broken, or that something was wrong with me. I coped and masked to fit in and be a productive member of society. At the age of 55, I was diagnosed with severe ADHD and dysgraphia. In school I believed that I was dumb, concentration was a struggle, my writing and spelling was horrible. Home computers and spellcheck helped, but the eye opening discovery of my condition and understanding how and why I think unlocked a whole new world.
As a plot the Idea of feeling out of place until you find where you fit, would make for a great story.
