Samantha Wilcoxson Hi Tracey! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed reading about James! Pen & Sword has different release dates scheduled for the UK & US, so you might be seeing January 30 or March 30. It sounds like the January date might be pushed back a little bit due to copies not arriving from the printer when they should, but it will be available everywhere soon. I really appreciate you giving it an early read & look forward to your review.
Samantha Wilcoxson I don't want to give away too much about the ending, but it is a voice that will be familiar to many, not just Catherine. Thank you for your interest in my books! My blog is the best place to find information about me and my work. https://samanthawilcoxson.blogspot.com
Samantha Wilcoxson Hi Krista, thanks for reaching out to me! I am working on a nonfiction book featuring women of the American Revolution right now. I hope to spotlight women's roles and emotions as they coped with living through a time of war. It is scheduled for publication in July 2022, so another project might sneak in there too. :-)
Samantha Wilcoxson Hi, Gayle. I am so happy that you enjoyed Plantagenet Princess Tudor Queen and Faithful Traitor on audiobook! Unfortunately, we encountered problems during the production of Queen of Martyrs, so I am back at the beginning, looking for a new voice artist and do not have a release date set for this audiobook. If you like, you can follow my blog (samanthawilcoxson.blogspot.com) or Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PlantagenetE...) for updates on my books. Thank you for contacting me!
Samantha Wilcoxson Thank you for contacting me, Philip. I am a US based independent author, so my books are not in many UK libraries. However, if you read on Kindle, Plantagenet Princess Tudor Queen is on sale in the UK right now for 99p.
Samantha Wilcoxson Hi Jodi. I love reviewing books, and it's always nice to hear that somebody enjoys reading them. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to tell Elizabeth of York's story and hope that I have done her justice.

So many wonderful books exist on the Plantagenets and the Wars of the Roses! Of course, I highly recommend anything by Sharon Kay Penman. If you are looking for a lesser known take on the Wars of the Roses, I would recommend David Pilling's White Hawk series. It is gritty, realistic, and takes a strong Lancastrian point of view which sets it apart from many others.

In terms of nonfiction, I appreciate books that are factual while still easily accessible and readable. Some great examples are Bertram Fields' Royal Blood, Dan Jones' Plantagenets and Wars of the Roses (Hollow Crown in UK), and Desmond Seward's Last White Rose. Ian Mortimer's Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England is not about royalty but gives a great feeling of what it was like to live during the Plantagenet era.

I hope this helps and look forward to hearing what you think of Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen!
Samantha Wilcoxson Hi, Julie. I am thrilled that you are eager for the release of Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen! The reason you are not finding my story of Elizabeth of York is that it has not yet been released. Currently, beta readers are busily providing me with helpful feedback, and I am looking forward to an August release.

I have read a few of Chadwick's novels and have several more on my shelf. Her story of William Marshall is well loved by many! She is a skilled author who I hope I can compare favorably with. Thank you for your interest in my writing!
Samantha Wilcoxson Reading. A lot of reading. Those who know me recognize me more as an avid reader than a writer, but maybe that will someday change.
Samantha Wilcoxson I am currently working on the story of Elizabeth of York, a fascinating woman who has been largely overlooked by historical novelists. As the daughter, sister, niece, wife, and mother of kings of England, she could hardly be a more interesting subject.
Samantha Wilcoxson As a freelance writer, writer's block isn't really an option. I may occasionally choose to work on one project over another, but eventually everything reaches its deadline. Novels are easier to shove aside because I'm not accountable to anyone but myself. However, they are much more fun to work on, making writer's block less of a problem.
