If it's just a mild, off-day kind of thing, I can usually snap out of it by re-reading things I had already written. That helps me reconnect with my characters and my story.
If I find myself *really* stuck, I write my characters into a ridiculous or impossible situation, and keep writing a scene that will never be used. Like, aliens landed and one of my characters is abducted. How does she react? What kind of world do they take her to? Of course, the scene isn't included in any book, but I still gain insight into who my character is, and often my brain will want to return to the actual story. Writing itself is the cure, for me.

Creating beautiful worlds and falling in love with my characters--even the most evil ones. Connecting with readers and knowing that they are sharing my world, my thoughts, whether they love my books or not, it's amazing to have a link with people through my writing, and know they are experiencing something I created.

Other art forms tend to inspire me. Anything from music, movies, paintings, anime, sketches, or other books! Sometimes I'm inspired by real life, but most of the time art moves me deeply, and I feel like creating characters and telling stories as my own form of art.

Right now I am working on two projects: a collaboration with another author, which will be a YA modern day fairytale re-imagining, with monsters. The other is a NA idea I've been toying with, which would be a departure for me because it's a contemporary new adult romance with no magic! And lots of falling in love...

I love history, so writing the Timespell series has been the perfect outlet for that love. One of my favorite eras to read about is the golden age of piracy, particularly when Anne Bonny and Calico Jack sailed the seas. Considering Anne Bonny was around the same age as my characters, the idea for Perilous Waters came to life!
