How do you deal with writer’s block?
L.A. Catron I'm a big fan of outlines and character sketches long before the actual writing takes place. These are road maps. They help prevent writer's block. But when I do, on rare occasions, get stuck, I talk it out with someone. Sometimes a friend who will throw wonky stupid ideas at me ... and that will jar something loose in my imagination. Or sometimes another writer who sees the kink in my writing that I've become blind to. Brainstorm with someone. It's the best way out for me.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
L.A. Catron Read so much that you begin to see how the writer could have handled pacing or character development better. Read until you can see between the lines, past the story, and into the heart of the craft. It will make your writing better.

What are you currently working on?
L.A. Catron I'm currently working on the sequel to my debut YA Fantasy novel, Changeling Eyes.
