Tony Perez-Giese I saw that Mike! Pretty crazy stuff. My little cousin told me that I should "write a letter" to get the cartels to cease and desist using my idea for their malfeasance. I asked him to whom I would present this letter, and he didn't have a reply to that. Thanks for reading the book and giving it a great review.

Great read, sir. I really enjoyed everything about it. One question: were all these drug cartel characters based upon real people? I did google searches on some of them, and found them to be real.
Tony Perez-Giese Hello Bill. Thanks so much for your kind words. I glad you enjoyed the book. As for the cartel characters, I used real names if the person was deceased ("It looks like they died of natural causes." "How you figure that, Sheriff?" "Natural to the lifestyle they was leading." Cormac McCarthy). In the case of the two main cartel figures in "Idiots"--Chuy Lazaro and El Animal Guzman--they are composites of drug honchos past and present. As you can guess, I didn't want to tempt fate by using the names of people who are still active in the game. All Best, Tony

Where did you get the idea for the book? Was it all from the newsclipping at the front, or did you spend a lot of time in Juarez? I really enjoyed your book!
