I’m sorry, I’m on deadline for a rewrite and don’t actually read middle school. My kids are in my kindle too. Good luck.

Hello Frank. I am thrilled that you are enjoying my novel. Thank you! Yours is an intriguing question. I am not sure where and when you acquired my novel but, in a very early version, the RFK Bridge was misspelled JFK Bridge. The mistake was corrected within days of publication as far as I know. The Triboro Bridge, as you may know, was renamed RFK Bridge several years ago. That is at 125th Street on the Eastside. I hope you will forgive any typos you find because there were a couple that we corrected early on and you seem to ahve an early edition. I hope you will touch base again. MIchele

I am currently working on a rewrite of Lower Power, although I doubt that's the final title. It received a great review from Publishers Weekly as part of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards, but that was based on an early draft of the novel. I'm going to the next level with this novel. Continuing to rethink the story is scary, given the good reception it received it its prior form, but I'm seeking something more.

I lived in Harlem during the crack epidemic, from 1986 to 1992. Like the main character of Lower Power (probably will be re-named), I was a heroin addict during the first half of my time living in Harlem. Then I recovered there with a glorious group of addicts in recovery to whom I will always be grateful.

I don't have time for writer's block. I always have more to write than time. I hope one day to have the luxury of writer's block. Although, of course, I don't actually hope for writer's block.
