Samir Nazareth When I started by 6 month travel I had not thought of writing a travelogue. The idea was to write a few articles along the way to ensure there was always something in the 'food fund'. Not many magazines/papers were interested in this idea.

Three-fourth of the way into my journey the idea of a travelogue took shape.
Samir Nazareth Some poetry, short stories. I am also thinking of taking off on another trip.
Samir Nazareth Write, put paper to the pen, fill a screen with words. And take time to see the world outside.
Samir Nazareth To me the best thing about being a writer is to see an amorphous thought becoming something concrete and tangible.
Samir Nazareth To stare down an empty page (and now a screen) at the beginning of the day is not a happy thought. I write down my thoughts constantly ( I sms myself, write short notes, or try remembering what I thought of a few days back - if all all else fails), further there is so much happening in our lives this can be fodder too. The challenge is to link the dots.
