I’m ashamed to say that most of my adolescent RPG experiences ended up this way.

Welcome! It’s very likely that you’ve been redirected here from abominable.cc, the usual home of my webcomic ‘The Abominable Charles Christopher‘.

Recently, the servers that abominable.cc was hosted on were subject to a malicious hack which wiped out all of the sites hosted there, as well as everything on all of the associated drives. It was bad. I have backups of all of the comics content, of course, but it’s going to take some time to rebuild everything so until that happens I’ll be posting comics every Wednesday, same as always, to this site as well as to to the Abominable Facebook page.

The Abominable Store is also down but will be back up in due time. If you’ve placed orders for stuff already then don’t worry; it’s all recorded and in my spreadsheet and orders are being shipped out regularly.

Last week’s strip is posted below, so make yourselves at home, feel free to comment as usual, and I’ll keep you updated on any site news.

Guess who’s going to the San Diego Comic-Con!!

The SDCC folks were nice enough to invite me and give me an hour of panel time, which I will be using to do this :

Thursday, 11:30-12:30 Spotlight on Karl Kerschl (Live-Drawing The Abominable Charles Christopher)— Comic-Con special guest Karl Kerschl (The Abominable Charles Christopher, Teen Titans: Year One, Assassin’s Creed) creates a new episode of his Eisner Award-winning webcomic The Abominable Charles Christopher live on stage, with help from the audience. Room 4

So for those of you who enjoy the live streams I occasionally do, or for those of you who would like to see how the strip is made, from top to bottom, this one’s for you. The strip will be projected on the big screen and I’ll be talking and answering questions from the audience while I draw. And we’re gonna’ make this thing together! So show up with a favourite animal and some ideas to pitch, because I’m going there empty-handed! The comic we create will go online the following Wednesday.

 

PSSST: I’ll also give you a sneak-peek at the new comics I’m working on.

 

AND I have a table in Artist’s Alley (Table II 09) where I’ll be selling Abominable books and doing sketches. Here is a map:

If you’re one of the two million people attending the show this year, come by and say hello! I’m not keeping a sketch list, so it’s first-come-first-serve.

 

At long last, the softcover edition of The Abominable Charles Christopher – Book One is here, reprinting the first chapter of the Eisner Award-winning story and wrapped in shiny new cover art!

Sketch Editions are limited to 50 because, well, they take a long time to do and I want to make sure that everyone gets their books in time for Christmas.
