Autumn Giles is a freelance writer and recipe developer whose work has appeared in Modern Farmer, New American Homesteader, PUNCH, Serious Eats, Edible Baja Arizona, and elsewhere. She has an MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College and a BA in English from Barnard College. Autumn grew up in Montana and, after spending ten years in New York City, now lives in an old pink house in rural Arizona with two gray cats and Paul K. Tunis, the book's illustrator.
