If the flow stops, then I stop. I walk away and start doing something completely different. Sometimes, it only takes walking out of the room to unlock everything. Other times it can last quite a while. But no matter how long it takes, I am always pondering that part of the story which has caused the block. Eventually, the flow returns. It always does.(less)

I enjoy facing a problem and working out as many solutions as I can. Writing is one way of accomplishing this. But the absolute best thing would be the readers themselves. I love hearing feedback and how my writing has influenced someone on an emotional level.(less)

Standing in the Rain

Standing in the rain could mean we have overcome one of our fears.
Standing in the rain no one can see any of our tears.
Standing in the rain can help wash away the filth from our worst of days.
Standing in the rain can even help a child to find a reason for play.

Standing in the rain...standing in the rain...standing in the rain.

“Perseverance is such a beautiful word. But to experience it means we must first endure the unpleasantness life is sure to always bring our way.”
Tony C. Skye, Blurry Lines: The Vessel, Book II

“Living in the past is always a bad idea; yet, on some level I believe the ones we love, even though not part of our present, are the very definition of who we are, the driving force of what we aspire to be, and at the end of the day, the past we must look to in order to improve who we will become. After all, we do not learn from what has not happened, but what has been, and what we will choose to keep or leave behind. Friendship, true friendship is never blind, but it holds the value of forgiveness - separating what we may or may have not done within the realm of mistakes....seeking the outcome of making us into better people.”

“It is not those events outside of our control which we should allow to define us. Instead, the definition of who we choose to be is dictated by how we deal with these outside events within ourselves.”
