Inspiration - from a 90 year old

Whenever I hear someone in their twenties, thirties or so on, moan that they're getting old, I smile to myself and think how glad I am that I'm don't have that negative kind of mind set.

Only the other evening, I had even more to smile about on this "getting old" subject.

You see, on the news the other foresaid evening, when they mentioned that the Queen was turning ninety, a couple of members of the public, who were now ninety themselves, were interviewed.
One of them, a lady, did things like sky-diving and adventurous things of that nature. She said, "I don't feel ninety. Some days I feel like I'm twenty-one."
She also told the interviewer how every day she goes out, walks to the bus station/depot, then just gets on a bus and travels to wherever.

This lady sounded like she has more adventurous spirit and zest for life than some of the twenties and thirties age group or older, out there. Perhaps as she grew older, she made frequent reminders to herself that she would always stay young in mind and spirit.

May she be an inspiration to us all as we go forward in life.

Hooray!

Very soon, I shall be going abroad for the very first time!!!!! It is another good way to get me out of my comfort zone, and experience a different culture for real.

I shall be taking a book that a colleague of mine has kindly given me to take away with me : "Angels at my Fingertips, by Lorna Byrne".

Looking forward to reading it
