A childhood dream that came true
It's easy, when you grow up, to forget abut your childhood dreams. You realise that you're not going to be the prime minister or fly to the moon after all.
Not that I've grown-up much - yes, I'm over eighteen, so classed as an adult, but I'm the sort of person who prefers playing in the sand rather than sunbathing, and I get near-excited over my birthdays, and treat new experiences as a source of wonder.
My childhood dream, was to become a published author. As well as playing outside on my bike, and inside with Lego and artistic, messy, creative things, I was brought up to read books, and I would wish, and wonder and imagine. Of course, unlike some people, and some fantasies about grown-up life when I was little, my dream of having a book (that I had written myself) published never wavered.
It has taken me ages to get to the published stage, and since a hard copy of my book landed in my hands, I feel grateful that I followed my dream.
You must follow yours too.

The Connection Between Fantasy and Dance
Have you ever noticed that fantasy and dance often seem to go hand in hand?
So many images on Google feature fairies dancing around toadstools, or in enchanted forests and gardens. Pinterest has plenty of these illustrations, which often find their way onto personal profile pages.
In my own book, “Fantastica - Surreal Prose & Poetry”, which you will find on Amazon, one of the stories (called ‘Festival of Dance’) features a girl who is soon to dance in front of the “little folk”, as fairies, elves, pixies and their kin are sometimes called, gods and goddesses, ghosts, mermaids and other mythical beings.
Ballet also plays its own part in the subjects of dance mixed with fantasy - The Dance of The Sugarplum Fairy, accompanied with the well-known tune by Tchaikovsky is one fine example.
Children, and some adults, enjoy dressing up in fairy costumes (usually bought on EBay) and some even attend festivals where people can dance together and have fun.
What is it, that makes us connect the world of fantasy with the world of dance? Is it because it takes adults back to their childhood innocence?
