A. S. Minor is the pen name for Allen Minor (surprisingly enough, "Allen Minor" is a relatively common author name). He is a poet and novelist, as well as a competition-winning spoken word poet.

I believe that authors do not create stories. We're archaeologists, and we'll dig a little bit up and set it aside, and dig a little bit out and set it aside. Once we've uncovered the entire story, we polish it off and display it for the world to see. Bad writing comes from rushing and damaging the story while you're digging it out. Take your time, and do it right. (less)

In many, they were looked at as shamans, or priests, or any number of special people who lived firmly between this world and another. I believe that's true. Not the existential bit, but as far as the fact that we, as writers, seetc and experience the world differently than others. It's our curse and our blessing!(less)
