Emily Isaacs is a writer and filmmaker originally from London.

Starting as a successful professional child model and actress, modeling for Lord Snowden, Butterkist, Birds Trifle, and appearing in several BBC children's productions, one notable theatrical gig was at 12, performing in a production of 'Carmen' with the English National Opera for six months at The Coliseum. She started training in literature and drama, but she was encouraged to go into Music rather than acting, and ended up studying 'cello at Trinity College of Music, London. Having to leave mid-way through from illness, she started teaching the 'cello and piano and did a teaching qualification with the Associated Board in 2000. But now I'm back to it, I'm reading a lot more - a lot of research books, but I've also started Slow Horses, which is really helping to get me back into a novelistic frame of mind. (less)

Hallowe'een Week!

Well of course I was never going to get much written over half term and Hallowe'en, but you always hope, don't you? One child poorly and staying at home, the other champing at the bit to do something all the time, and the husband is working.
