Book Review: Post Human Series by David Simpson - Book 1: Sub-Human
I am currently enrolled in the Kindle Unlimited Subscription and decided to read this book when it popped up in my feed. I am reading the Post-Human Series Books 1-4 OMNIBUS version.
This is an independent review of Book 1 in the Series, titled Sub-Human
I really enjoyed the way the book was written. Although I didn't get why the main character was so stupid in his choices sometimes and he really annoyed me. I wanted to just slap him and say "WAKE UP!! WHAT YOU'RE DOING IT DUMB!!!" but this is what characters are for. As an author, this is the exact reaction I would want from a reader: a connection to the book and the character, even if it means that the reader is annoyed! ;)
The writing style suited me in that David makes sure his scenes are short and end with just the right amount of keeping you wondering. The book easily played like a movie or series in my head and I hope it gets adopted into a Netflix series since some of the raw scenes would fit that medium very well!
Definite 4.75 stars. Craig (the main character) annoyed me too much to give it 5 but other than that I liked the book and now reading book 2 Post-Human in the omnibus!
