What If: Black Holes == Consciousness

Photo by Omid H on UnsplashI love playing what if. Im willing to believe more things before noon than most people do in their entire lifetimes.Well, maybe not believe, but Ill entertain any notion for at least a few minutes. Not because I need more beliefs in my life, but because its fun. So take this as me having fun, not me throwing a serious, fact-based, well-vetted idea out.

10th Anniversary Edition of Tearstone

The book was first published in 2013.Since then, Ive been through plenty of changes. My boys have grown quite a bit, my day job has changed several times, and Ive spent a lot of time in therapy. Why is that last one important?

A White Box

Our memory is a more perfect world than the universe: it gives back life to those who no longer exist.

~ Guy de Maupassant

I have a picture of you from 1971.

You are dressed in a white sleeveless top and matching white stockings kneeling next to a tree. Nestled in your arms is a small, white bundle with a tuft of dark hair. Your face is turned down, but not so much that your proud, slight smile is hidden.

That bundle was me. Just shy of 46 years later, my siblings and I held your hand...

Davids Writer Bio

Short Bio David Day believes the future is a paradox, simultaneously representing beautiful hope and terrible possibility, and that we are on an ever-constant journey to resolve that paradox into the now. David received his MA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in June 2011. He is the author of one novel, Tearstone, as well as several short stories.A Little More I write dark fantasy, often with a heavy helping of religious symbolism.

Saying Goodbye to Our Dog

Until one has loved an animal, a part of ones soul remains unawakened.

~ Anatole France

Our kitchen table is back in the kitchen. The screen door on our back porch stays closed. I dont scurry downstairs to turn off the alarm in the wee hours of the morning. Things are back to normal.

Except they arent. They never will be.

We incrementally changed our lives to accommodate our aging dog Zoe, which was at times frustrating for all of us, but never burden. She was such an integral part of our f...
