Meet the Montgomery Family
Let me begin by saying I'm excited to be part of the Goodreads community! I've already met some awesome authors and romance readers on social media. I hope to significantly expand my professional network on Goodreads.
I'm an indie author with two historical romance novels on the market. The two novels are part of a series that centers around the Montgomery family. At the head of this family is the Dowager Duchess of Linwood. The dowager is a feisty elderly woman who has many of the best lines in each book. Her two sons, the Duke of Linwood (Richard Montgomery) and the Reverend Lord James Montgomery, live on the Linwood Estate in England. This aristocratic family is adjusting to the social and economic changes that occur during the early Victorian period. Each of the five novels in this series will focus on the courtship and marriage of the dowager's five eldest grandchildren.
The first book in this series, "The Vicar's Bride," focuses on Miss Sarah Montgomery. Sarah is the eldest daughter of the Reverend Lord James Montgomery. She's kind-hearted, but fierce. Sarah meets her perfect mate as the family celebrates her Aunt Jane's upcoming wedding.
The second book in this series, "The Lieutenant's Belle," focuses on Lady Isabella Montgomery. Isabella is the only daughter of the Duke of Linwood. As a duke's daughter, she's expected to marry a titled gentleman of high rank. Fate, however, has other plans for Isabella as she travels to London for her third season.
I hope fans of historical romance novels will embrace this family and cheer them on as they pursue their happily ever after. I'll share more information about the remaining three books in this series as they are written.
