Video Interview :: Austin Liti Limits
A few weeks ago, I did this video interview with Scott Semegren for his show, Austin Liti Limits, about THE ELEPHANT OF BELFAST, how I found my way into the story and characters, my research, and more. Watch here. And see a few photos from my youth and a few lesser-known facts about me. https://www.goodreads.com/videos/1798...

Hettie & Violet & Spotify
I created a Spotify playlist featuring songs that appear in THE ELEPHANT OF BELFAST as well as Irish songs that inspired me during the process of writing the novel. Can you name the scenes where some of these songs are spotlighted? https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3X6...

Essay About My Teacher, E. L. Doctorow
One of the highlights of my graduate-school career was taking "The Craft of Fiction" with the masterful writer E.L. Doctorow. In Praise of Readings :: Lit Hub
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share this first-person essay that I published at Lit Hub yesterday. I write about a handful of readings I attended over the years as well as about my journey as a writer and my upcoming novel, The Elephant of Belfast. I know I miss the shared experience of in-person readings—and all that I gained from having a chance to hear an author and have a book signed. I look forward to the day when we can gather again. Thanks for reading. https://lithub.com/in-praise-of-readi...
