After what I’ve been through in the last year, there’s nothing I’d like better than for everyone to leave me the hell alone so I can figure out what’s going on. Sure, things have calmed down a little. Haven is mine and Lacey and Maia are settling into their new lives. Well, for the most part anyway.

The only problem is that I can’t seem to shake off the feeling that something big is coming, and if I take my exorcist’s word for it, it’s something I might not be ready to deal with. Yeah, I said exorcist. A bad feeling isn’t the only thing I can’t shake, the fingerprints of an older magic are still lingering on my soul, and I don’t like admitting that I need help… but I need some serious help.

To top it all off, things aren’t exactly calm in New York, and leaving Maia and Lacey behind while I’m getting a magical spa treatment is anything but ideal. I’m sure they can handle the shop on their own, but I’m not so sure they’ll be able to handle the vampires.

Ophelia Turner is still feeling the effects of her brush with an ancient Daughter, and her attempts to have the malevolent presence exorcised from her life are taking more of a toll than she’s willing to admit. After a brush with Meridian in New Orleans, Ophelia begins to realize that there is something bigger being planned, and the safest place for her and her friends is as far away from New York as possible.  But sometimes, the best plans are entirely impractical.

Trapped between a Laudan civil war, a moody teenager, and a baby bat that has bitten off more than she can handle, Ophelia will have to make hard decisions and split second choices that will affect not only her life, but the lives of everyone she’s ever loved.

And she might not survive it.

What’s new, pussycats?

Hello, dearest readers!

It’s been a hot minute since I released Twice Cursed and Power of Three, so I thought I’d let you know what’s coming in the next few months! Summer Solstice brings longer warmer days for the northern hemisphere, but where I live, it’s entirely the opposite. Winter is coming to New Zealand, and I’m stoking up the fire and trying to stay warm!

So, what’s on my To-Do list for the next few months?

Haven  – you’ve seen the cover and the blurb, and I’m hard at work on that pesky writing part! ETA – July 2018
Sands of Time  – I have the cover, blurb, and the outline ready to go! ETA – August 2018
Black Lotus  (Book 2 of Bailey’s story “Keeper of the Flame”) – it’s almost there… ETA – September 2018
Daughters of Hecate  – the full series (plus a top-secret companion novella that newsletter subscribers will get for FREE) will be available in October 2018.
Super secret projects? I definitely have a few of those waiting in the wings and I can’t wait to share them with you!

One minute I was minding my own business, just trying to get back to my dorm after surfing the Underground, and the next minute I was in the middle of a police raid with my would-be rescuer lying dead on the floor and the remnants of a strange occult ritual scattered all around me. This might sound like a typical Tuesday night, but for me, this was all kinds of crazy, and I was most definitely going to do my best to forget that it ever happened. 

But what had really happened that night? I was just a student, an American overseas trying to get a year of study under my belt. This exchange program in London should be just what I need to propel me into the academic career of my dreams. Unfortunately, those dreams seemed to be slipping through my fingers… I didn’t ask to be kidnapped, and I certainly didn’t ask for these weird nightmares or black-outs. 

Bayleigh Cameron’s year abroad was going just fine, except for the fact that she’s being stalked through the streets of London by a secret society obsessed with the rebirth of an ancient goddess; a goddess they believe will propel them towards the world domination they crave. Unfortunately for them, an interrupted ritual could turn the wrath of the goddess in the wrong direction, and there’s nothing they can do to stop it.

Although Lacey has gotten on everyone’s nerves (including mine), it was super rewarding to give her a story that not only got inside her head, but helped the other characters in the series understand her better.

She’s still totally annoying, but I might have gotten a little more attached to her myself.
