Helio Apotheosis Part 2 Coming Soon!

So, interesting story. I’ve been promoting my first self-published novel: Helio Apotheosis Part 1: The Scorched Third. I’ve been getting good feedback and I got great feedback from a particular author named Mia Carter. She wrote an amazing thriller novel titled The Dare. I got to reading her work and was very impressed. Long story short, I asked her to collaborate with me on my next novel: Helio Apotheosis Part 2: Fire From Above. Lucky for me, she agreed! So we have both been working hard on creating the next installment of this epic story based around the book of Revelation. I’m so excited to be working with her and I have no doubt the next book will be even better than the first!

How I decided on a title

After my Father had read my story several times and before I had published it, he was continually giving me new ideas of where to go with the story and what questions he would like to have answered in regards to character development and other questions that plague Christians secretly in their hearts. So needless to say, we were in constant contact about the book. One morning, I received a text from him reading only "Helio Apotheosis". I asked him, "what does that mean?" He responded, "I don't know. It was said to me in a dream over and over again. Perhaps a title for your book." So, I looked it up and 'Helio' means 'sun', and 'Apotheosis' means 'climactic point of development'. So, I saw that this held more than one meaning in relation to my story. The climactic point of Jesus the son is him taking our sin on the cross. Also, the climactic point of the sun itself could be the undoing of Earthly existence before the new heaven and Earth are created. And seeing how my story is based around the Apocalypse and the book of Revelation, I thought the title fit. Anyway, I found it to be quite an interesting method of how the title was decided upon.

What inspired my first book

Hey readers!

So I wanted to share a little about how I came to write and self publish my first book. I’ve struggled with severe major depressive disorder for a number of years. I have always found it to be therapeutic to fearlessly pour out the misery that goes along with such a burden. Writing was a perfect outlet to do exactly that. I didn’t intend publish anything when I began writing. I simply was opening the valve of my hurting heart that stored up pain, guilt, shame and insecurities. I found that my experiences in the Marine Corps, as well as my faith in Jesus and my vivid imagination began to all be interwoven into my story. I let my Dad read my first 10 pages and he was adamant that I continue writing. So I did. I wrote more and more, not knowing where the story would lead until pen hit paper. After a couple of years I had a real story and I found that the more people read it, the more encouragement I received. So I decided to self publish. I’m continuing to get positive praise for the story and I’m currently working on part 2. If you read it I hope you will enjoy. Thank you all!
