Jan Roar Leikvoll var en norsk forfatter.

Han var fra Frekhaug i Nordhordland. Leikvoll var i 2002/2003 elev ved Skrivekunstakademiet i Bergen. Han debuterte på Det Norske Samlaget i 2008 med romanen Eit vintereventyr. I 2010 ble hans andre roman, Fiolinane, utgitt. Denne ble nominert til Kritikerprisen og tildelt Nynorsk litteraturpris. Forfatteren har dessuten mottatt Bjørnsonstipendet og Sigmund Skard-stipendet.

Bøkene er kjennetegnet av et brutalt, rått, men samtidig vakkert og følsomt språk, der yttergrensene av menneskelig erfaring blir portrettert med nådeløs realisme. Begge bøkene har fått svært gode kritikker i dagsavisene.
