I still miss the sunshine because I'm in cold Europe. And I miss the mitthaai - because I don't make it. On top of that, I miss Indian cuisine (because it is not fun cooking just for yourself).

Kicked out of India by Mrs G during the Emergency when I was 27.

Landed in Scotland, where I tried to do some research while also discovering life in the West. Did any and all jobs I could find to earn money in order to survive.

In the 1980s, started doing some consultancy work - very slow and difficult start, as I knew no one in business and, in business, no one knew me.

But my reputation and work grew slowly, and I ended up working internationally, including for the then-largest bank in the world.

Retired in 2011, moved to Cambridge for family reasons.
