James Robert Wright is the author of The High Realm Chronicles, a young adult fantasy trilogy set in a world of knights, castles, gallantry and intrigue. Hopebearer, the first novel in the series, was published in August 2018.

Born in 1988 in Norwich, United Kingdom, James spent his childhood and teenage years in Norfolk. There he studied at Paston College, whose notable alumni include admiral Horatio Nelson and author, actor and comedian Stephen Fry.

James moved to Nottingham in 2007 to study for a degree in History at Nottingham Trent University. After graduating, he began a career which now sees him working in the marketing profession.

It was during this time that James met his future wife, and they were married in April 2019.
