Nearly every single person who previewed the manuscript told me that section really impacted them emotionally. My wife refuses to even read that section any more. Knowing that I have connected on such a deeply personal level with my readers is incredibly rewarding. It means I've pulled them out of the pages and ink and put them into their own lives, recalling a deeply personal moment in their own lives. That's powerful stuff, and it drives me to be an even better, more engaging writer. (less)
