Well, a Masked Open House, but that doesn’t sound as cool.
clears throat What I’m meaning to say is that this Saturday, from ten to four, there will be an open house at Gallery 107 in Seaford, Delaware, (they’re
on Facebook) and lots of locally produced art of all kinds will be on display and available for sale. Stained glass? Check! Hand-turned wood? Check! Oil
and watercolor paintings? Yep, check that too. Also jewelry and all kinds of fiber and textile arts.
Also, a certain children’s book is now stocked at Gallery 107! Do you know which one?
Three guesses, and the first two don’t count.
That’s right! “Fearless Friends” will be there! And I plan to drop in for a while too, so look forward to meeting my adoring fans. (Both of them.) Stop
by if you’re in the neighborhood. I will be masked but recognizable, and I hope you will be too.

Hello, loyal fans! Yes, it’s been a while, but I do solemnly swear I’ll be updating much more frequently from now on. Right now I’m posting to let you know that my second book is finished and will be available to purchase very, very soon. It’s called “Fearless Friends” and this time it’s lavishly illustrated by the supremely talented and lightning-fast artist Tawn Crosby Shivers! Thank, Tawn! The story is aimed at a slightly younger audience than “Odric the Bold” and is about a dog named Pancho who is afraid of just about everything, and a kitten named Junebug who seems to be afraid of nothing on Earth. Watch this space!

Hi, all! Hope everyone is well and staying safe and sane during this "challenging" (which is a very perky way of saying "really, really rough") time.
I have been using lockdown time wisely, and now have something to show for it.
Very soon, you will be able to buy my second book, "Fearless Friends." FF is different from "Odric the Bold" in that it is intended for a slightly younger audience, and it's got actual illustrations! Tawn Crosby Shivers is the talented (and lightning-fast" local artist who brings my simple story to colorful life!
So cut out the jibba-jabba, grumbles the ever-present heckler in the balcony, and tell us what's the story about?
I'm very glad you asked! "Fearless Friends" is the story of Pancho, a large and sweet-natured dog who is afraid of just about everything, and his unexpected friendship with Junebug, a tiny kitten who is afraid of nothing at all, or so it seems.

Back in May, I posted here that "Odric the Bold" had been accepted by the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped to be made into an audiobook available to anyone signed up to receive materials from NLS. I was told it would be at least six months.
Well, this morning on their website, what do I spy? "Odric the Bold" is now available as a downloadable audio book or to borrow by all NLS patrons!
Needless to say, I downloaded it right away. It's read by Jeff Allin, who is apparently a long-time actor and narrator of recorded books, and he does a great job. I should add that after that brief exchange for the collections manager at NLS, I had no further contact with them, and certainly had no input into who would record the book or how the characters should sound. But I'm very pleased with the results!

Hello, everyone! Latest exciting news: "Odric the Bold" is now available in an actual, brick-and-mortar store!
I have just become a member of the Independent Authors Program at Bethany Beach Books, and today I delivered three, count 'em, three signed copies to the store! Up till now, Odric could only be bought online or from me personally, but now he has been unleashed on the beach-going, book-buying public!
