Audiobook launched 🎧
Hi all,
Last fall I had the opportunity to work with Jack Straw Cultural Center's recording studio to complete the audiobook version of I Don't Wanna Be Pink. I had a fantastic experience working with Engineer/Teaching Artist, Ayesha Ubayatilaka, and kicking off production with guidance from vocal coach, Alyssa Keene. The audiobook is 6 hours-ish in length and available almost everywhere audiobooks are sold.
Why do an audiobook? I recall going through chemo, recovering from surgeries and not feeling like reading words on a page. I want to give patients a choice in how they engage with my story; to choose a format that fits with wherever they are in the process.
Thanks for reading,
Dena

BookLife Prize Review!
An immensely relatable, fresh, vigorous voice that bursts off the page with energy and brio. It sounds odd to say that one enjoyed reading a memoir about a battle against breast cancer, but Taylor writes with such epic candor and hilarious turn of phrase that there's no other word for it. --The BookLife Prize, March, 2021
