What draws you to a book?
Sitting here in the dark, typing Protecting His Night, and I was wondering what draws a reader in? For me, sometimes it's the cover. Other times it's the synopsis.
What keeps a reader going? I like to be drawn in immediately, but I'm going to tell on myself here. If the first few chapters doesn't get me right away, I skip to the last few paragraphs of the last chapter. Even knowing there's going to be an HEA doesn't mean the drama won't continue for a while. If those last few paragraphs get me, then I keep reading.
I would love to know on what draws you to a book. Is the angst or humor? Do you need an HEA at the end of every book or do you enjoy a series where you have to keep reading to get the HEA?
Tell me your thoughts. Tell me what type of characters you like to read about. I'd love to hear how different or similar everyone's tastes are compared to my own, which honestly can be fairly versatile because today I want the humor of The Locker Room by Meghan Quinn. Tomorrow I may want the heart shattering drama of Devious Lies by Parker S. Huntington. Let me know in the comments below. XOXO
