I proudly claim beautiful Mendham, NJ as my hometown and grew up at The Seeing Eye Breeding Division property outside of town. I attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Mendham High School. After receiving bachelors and masters degrees from Lock Haven and East Stroudsburg Universities respectively; I worked my entire career in sports medicine.
I now live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with my wife Karen. My family includes sons, Jeremy and Matthew, daughter Katie, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Eomer, Liam, Aidan, Evelyn and dogs, Zoey and Pax.

My newest book is, "I Love Dogs, A Tribute to Man's Best Friend" Dogs have always been an important part of my life. They have been trusted friends and loyal companions. My love of dogs started early as

In some ways I feel unqualified. I certainly am no expert when it comes to literary skills, promotion and many other things. But, I think as a first time author I am definitely in a position to help others who are just starting because it just happened to me. That experience is very new and fresh for me. So, I guess I would have several pieces of advice. Some of which should be quite obvious but may not be. Here they are:
1. Write about something that you are very passionate about and you will see through.
2. Believe in your story. There will be plenty of times that you will doubt the value of your product. Keep believing and remain committed. You will get plenty of rejections from literary agents. I think I had about 25. But, it only takes 1 to believe in you. I also sent out about 40 letters to get endorsements. Again, I got 38 rejections but the 2 I got were outstanding.
3. Seek input from as many people as possible about every aspect of the process. From wording to chapter titles to cover design, get input. You will gain some good advice and perspective.
4. Be committed! If you feel strongly about your book and what you have to say, stick with it. You will get frustrated a lot. That is normal. Don't give up. See it through.

Best of luck. God Bless!(less)

"This is just a wonderful, feel-good read. If you’re a dog person, go ahead and get it — you won’t regret it. The stories are short, genuine, and full of heart. Some made me smile, a couple had me choked up, and all of them reminded me of how lucky we" Read more of this review »
