SEE You kids on Thursday!

Ya’ll don’t want to hear my issues. But the weekend was rough. Both Saturday and

Sunday my partner and I started the day with high hopes but each day we were reminded

that life is short. COVID is still around, and deadly. People who don’t deserve your time will

demand it the most. You can explain something a billion times and people will

still ask 1000 questions you don’t have time for. A cat can still be sick after 2months and

$700 dollars. But vet thinks its no big deal in the long run. Wheelchairs are insanely expensive

but a necessity for the rest of my life. Found out some friends are getting a divorce.

I am sure there is BS I am forgetting because my brain is still processing some of it.

SOrry, SorRy, here I said I wasn’t going to be bothering you with my issues. I did start book 2 in

the Locrottum Universe (by Manswell T. Peterson) and found a few awesome fan pages on

facebook, twitter, and IG so I went down a few rabbit holes about the future of the series.

And then I got some of my books boxed up and took them to a lady who (by word of mouth)

I heard has a teenage daughter who reads EVERYTHING and has pretty much cleaned out

the libraries around us. I was that girl, I get it. SO I hooked her up with some great websites and

Blogs to get discounted and free books. And then gave her 50 or more books that should last her till

school starts in mid August.

Ya’ll. I was having a great week. Last week’s chemo side effects were gone. Husband took 2 days off for no reason and we ran errands together, met up with friends for lunch and had good conversations. A friend from Kansas City was passing through and we fed her our famous Casey’s Pizza. Then.

Then this morning, I made the mistake of watching the news. I am sick to my stomach over the decisions our government has made….and decisions they still haven’t made.

I downloaded over 47 free, yes free, books this week. It is almost the end of the month already and I’ll need to look back and see what I read this month versus how many new books I received. I received a few paperbacks in the mail and was excited about them. Surprise book mail is always fun.

I really want to end on a positive note but today’s books are a little darker than we usually have. But it can’t be beach reads and rom-coms all of the time.

Setting Records for a heat wave before it is even officially summer just sucks. Last week was rough kids, it was rough. I feel a lot better today, I still have a few things on my plate I just don’t know how to feel about. Sorry to Vague– for now. Books are a great distraction but I will admit I have been watching a lot of funny animal videos on youtube. Dogs that aren’t exactly the brightest in the pack and cats that are just flat-out snarky brats. I have four cats, 1 is an absolute angel. Everyone would have a cat if they were all like her. Then there is the boss and everyone knows it. Then my baby is the oldest BUT she is not the one in charge. She has major noise and anxiety issues, just a big coward, and unfortunately, it is firework season:( Then my only little Boy tolerates me when I am the only one home, otherwise, he is daddy’s shadow. Whenever they do something youtube worthy I am nowhere near my phone in time. But they are cute, trust me. Isn’t that what all moms say?
